Company History

The Alaskan Products Group (APC) grew from humble and purposeful beginnings.

Prior to the founding of the company one of the early co-founders was confronted with a family tragedy after his wife was hurt in a tragic accident and was confined to a wheelchair. It seemed that after she had recovered enough to drive a car she encountered very difficult times during extremely cold weather hooking the car up to external power sources to keep the car engine warm while she shopped and visited friends and went about her daily activities. Getting out of the car was hard enough but to then go to the car trunk or back seat and retrieve the extension cords and then wheel to the power source to hook up became a major chore and obstacle.

Her dress was often soiled and damaged due to the snow and environment. The co-founder set out with a good friend (and ultimately co-developer and co-founder of the company) to solve this problem and the Arctic Leash was born. A short time later the product was patented and APC Group Inc was started.

From these humble beginnings this product has grown and is now adaptable to 100's of potential markets.
